The saturated stainless steel brewing unit ensures no temperature loss, something you'll notice in the stability of every espresso.
The Arkel brand is located in Porto, Portugal, and so is the factory. 95% of all components in the machines are sourced from Europe, which is quite unique these days. Arkel and its team designed the Coast with the goal of bringing the most sustainable machine possible to the market, sustainable in both origin and service life. This is reflected in the material choices.
The two vibration pumps work quietly in the background, one for the coffee boiler and the other for the steam boiler. A nice bonus: two buttons neatly placed on the side of the machine allow you to turn off the steam boiler, saving energy costs when you don't need to use steam.
Thanks to the powerful cold-touch steam wand, you can quickly froth milk. And with the cleverly concealed hot water wand, you can easily make an Americano or tea in between. Conveniently, the hot water comes from the coffee boiler, which enhances the flavor of your Americano. Meanwhile, the user-friendly and elegantly concealed touchscreen buttons automatically stop the coffee brewing once the set time is reached.
The build quality is also excellent: the Arkel Coast has a sleek, unique design with a stainless steel housing, finished with tempered glass. While many manufacturers opt for brass components, Arkel deliberately chooses all-stainless steel for greater durability. The pre-set buttons are easy to operate, and the flow-profiling lever gives you complete control over the extraction. A bonus: it comes standard with a tamper and stainless steel filter holder, so you can get started right away.
